Bakersfield, CA, November 4, 2020– A woman lost her life in a car accident that occurred early Wednesday morning in Bakersfield. According to the Bakersfield Police Department, the collision happened at approximately 2:50 a.m. at the intersection of Hosking Avenue and Hughes Lane. The woman was driving a Buick Roadmaster and was making a turn at the intersection when she collided with another vehicle traveling eastbound on Hosking Avenue. She sustained critical injuries and was transported to a hospital, where she later died while receiving treatment. The male driver of the second vehicle remained at the scene and cooperated with police during the investigation.

On Wednesday night, November 4, 2020, a fatal collision occurred at the intersection of Hosking Avenue and Hughes Lane in Southwest Bakersfield. According to the Bakersfield Police Department, the crash took place around 11:11 p.m. A driver traveling westbound on Hosking Avenue turned in front of an eastbound vehicle, resulting in a collision. The adult male driver who is believed to have caused the crash died at the scene. An adult female driver and another male passenger from the second car were taken to Kern Medical with minor injuries. Authorities stated that alcohol or drugs do not appear to be factors in the incident. The Bakersfield Police Department has completed its investigation of the deadly collision
