San Diego, CA, June 10, 2025 – A chaotic scene unfolded early Tuesday morning on southbound Interstate 5 just south of Dairy Mart Road, where a man and a woman were arrested following a minor car crash and a violent altercation with officers. The incident began around 3:48 a.m. when first responders arrived at the site of a car that had veered off the freeway. Upon arrival, crews immediately called for police backup due to erratic behavior from the vehicle’s occupants. Both individuals, a man and a woman, were reportedly running into traffic, arguing, and creating a hazard in the middle of the freeway. When California Highway Patrol (CHP) officers reached the scene, they found the female suspect lying on the road. As officers attempted to gain control of the situation, the male suspect became combative and began physically fighting with officers on the freeway.
