Woman Seriously Injured After Being Struck by Vehicle on Pacific Highway in San Diego
San Diego, CA – April 6 – A woman sustained serious injuries early Monday morning after being struck by a vehicle on Pacific Highway and Washington Street, according to the San Diego Police Department. Authorities reported that the incident occurred at approximately 1:20 a.m.Preliminary information indicates that a man was driving a van along Pacific Highway when the vehicle spun out of control. The driver and his female passenger exited the van shortly after the incident. Moments later, the woman was struck by an oncoming vehicle. Emergency responders arrived at the scene and provided medical assistance to the injured victim. She was transported to a nearby hospital with an open leg fracture and was reported to be in serious condition. Officials stated that the driver of the vehicle that struck the woman remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators. The driver was reported to have sustained minor injuries.
