Vail, AZ (October 10, 2025) – A pedestrian lost their life after being struck by a tractor-trailer early Friday morning on Interstate 10 near Marsh Station Road, according to the Arizona Department of Public Safety. The fatal crash occurred around 5:15 a.m. when the pedestrian was reportedly walking along the eastbound lanes of I-10 for unknown reasons. A tractor-trailer traveling eastbound was unable to avoid the person, resulting in a deadly impact. Authorities arrived at the scene and pronounced the pedestrian dead at the site. The truck driver remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators.

A pedestrian was fatally struck by a tractor-trailer early Wednesday morning on the westbound on-ramp to Interstate 10 at Marsh Station Road (milepost 291) in Vail, according to the Arizona Department of Public Safety (DPS).
The crash happened at approximately 5 a.m., when the large commercial vehicle struck the pedestrian under circumstances still under investigation. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. Troopers closed the entrance ramp while collecting evidence and attempting to determine how the tragic incident occurred.
