Delano, CA – May 14, 2025 – Two people sustained serious injuries in a two-vehicle crash that occurred Wednesday afternoon in Delano, according to the California Highway Patrol. The accident took place at approximately 12:03 p.m. near the intersection of Schuster Road and Stradley Avenue. Authorities reported that two pickup trucks collided under unknown circumstances, causing both vehicles to veer off the roadway and come to rest in a nearby field. One of the trucks overturned in the incident. Emergency responders arrived to find significant damage to both vehicles, with airbags deployed. Firefighters located two occupants who had suffered major injuries, including suspected broken legs. Both victims were transported to a local hospital for further treatment. Their conditions remain unknown at this time.

On July 24, 2015, a serious two-vehicle collision occurred at the intersection of Schuster Road and Stradley Avenue, south of Delano, California. The crash involved a 2006 Nissan Murano and a Ford F-150 pickup truck. The Nissan, driven by Yolanda Regalado Martinez of Tulare, attempted to turn onto Schuster Road but failed to clear oncoming traffic, resulting in a collision with the Ford F-150. Martinez was fatally injured in the crash, and her passengers, Maricela Lopez Contreras, 49, and Victor Manuel, 27, sustained serious injuries. Emergency responders arrived promptly at the scene, and the injured individuals were transported to a local hospital for treatment.
