Bakersfield, CA,July 3, 2025 – A motorcyclist was killed in a two-vehicle crash early Thursday morning, July 3, 2025, at the intersection of White Lane and Old River Road in southwest Bakersfield, according to the Bakersfield Police Department. The deadly crash occurred at approximately 6:45 a.m., prompting a response from emergency personnel. Upon arrival, officers found an adult male motorcyclist suffering from severe injuries lying in the roadway. Officers immediately initiated life-saving efforts before medical responders arrived, but despite those efforts, the motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity has not yet been released pending notification of next of kin. The driver of the other involved vehicle remained at the scene and is cooperating with the ongoing investigation. The intersection was temporarily closed as police examined the scene and cleared the roadway.
