San Diego, CA – August 30 – Authorities have confirmed the identity of the woman killed in a suspected hit-and-run early Saturday on Sea World Drive, near West Mission Bay Drive.The San Diego County Medical Examiner identified the victim as 61-year-old Celeste Cullene Necochea. Investigators say the crash occurred around 12:20 a.m. in the 100 block of Sea World Drive. However, Necochea was not located until more than 12 hours later, when a passerby discovered her lying beneath broken trees and dense shrubbery.
