Driver Trapped After Two-Vehicle Crash on Highland Avenue in San Bernardino
San Bernardino, CA – August 1, 2025 – A major two-vehicle collision late Friday night left one driver trapped and two people injured in San Bernardino, authorities confirmed. The crash occurred around 11:19 p.m. near Highland Avenue and Genevieve Street. San Bernardino police, firefighters, and paramedics responded to the scene, where they found a white van with its driver trapped inside. Fire crews extricated the man from the van, and he was transported to a local hospital with injuries of unknown severity. The second driver sustained minor injuries and was also hospitalized. Highland Avenue was temporarily closed between North Sierra Way and Genevieve Street as police investigated the cause of the crash.
