November 12, 2025 – Montebello, CA – A woman has been identified after a deadly multi-vehicle crash on Wednesday night on the Pomona (60) Freeway near Atlantic Boulevard. The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner confirmed the victim as 45-year-old Erika Martinez of Montebello. The collision, involving a Nissan SUV and an orange Dodge Charger, occurred in the eastbound lanes shortly before 10:40 p.m. Martinez, who was driving the SUV, tragically died at the scene. Authorities continue to investigate the sequence of events and what may have led to the fatal crash.

A tragic crash on the eastbound lanes of the Pomona Freeway (60) near Atlantic Boulevard claimed the life of 45-year-old Erika Martinez of Montebello.
According to the California Highway Patrol (CHP), officers responded to reports of a collision at approximately 10:40 p.m. Wednesday involving an orange Dodge Charger and a Nissan SUV. The woman driving the SUV, later identified as Martinez, was pronounced dead at the scene.
