Fatal Fiery Crash in Tustin Leaves One Dead, Closes Lanes on I-5
Tustin – November 25, 2024 – A deadly four-vehicle collision early Monday morning on the northbound I-5 freeway, south of Tustin Ranch Road, has resulted in the closure of multiple lanes. At 3:09 AM, the California Highway Patrol (CHP) responded to reports of an overturned vehicle in the #1 lane, near the Market Place shopping center. Upon arrival, officers discovered several vehicles involved, including one fully engulfed in flames. OCFA firefighters quickly extinguished the blaze. Tragically, one individual was declared deceased at the scene, though it remains unclear whether the body was found inside the burning vehicle or elsewhere. Another person was transported to the hospital, while two others refused medical treatment. A SIG Alert has been issued, with only the #7 lane of NB I-5 at Jamboree remaining open until further notice.
