Industry, CA (January 21, 2025) – The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s Office has identified the two victims killed in a Metrolink train collision in Industry on January 16 as Pamela Gutierrez Guizar, 47, and Grecia Garcia Sofia, 19, both of Pico Rivera.

The fatal crash occurred around 8 a.m. at the intersection of Rose Hills Road and Capitol Avenue. Metrolink Train 407 collided with a white Toyota Camry under circumstances that are still under investigation.

Both Guizar and Sofia, the occupants of the Toyota, were tragically pronounced dead at the scene. Five passengers aboard the train sustained non-life-threatening injuries.

Authorities are working diligently to determine the cause of the collision and will release additional details as they become available.
