James Ostermann, 75, Seriously Injured in Golf Cart Crash on San Vicente Road in Ramona
Ramona, CA – November 25, 2025 – A 75-year-old Ramona man, identified as James Ostermann, was seriously injured last Tuesday after his golf cart collided head-on with a pickup truck, according to the California Highway Patrol. The crash occurred around 11:05 a.m. on San Vicente Road, east of Camino Arriba. CHP officials said Ostermann was driving a 2006 Club Car golf cart westbound when, for reasons still under investigation, it collided head-on with an eastbound 2004 Toyota Tundra. Ostermann was ejected from the cart upon impact and was transported to Palomar Hospital with major injuries. The 30-year-old El Cajon man driving the Tundra was uninjured. Authorities said impairment is not believed to have contributed to the collision. The investigation remains ongoing.
