Turlock, CA – March 16 – Officials have identified the pedestrian who lost his life in a crash last Monday in the Turlock area as 52-year-old Jesus Perez Rafael, according to the Stanislaus County Coroner’s Office. Authorities reported that the fatal collision occurred at approximately 4:35 a.m. on Washington Road just south of Ehrlich Road. According to investigators with the California Highway Patrol, Rafael was walking along the northbound side of Washington Road when he was struck by a northbound Toyota SUV. Emergency crews responded to the scene and pronounced Rafael dead at the location of the crash. Officials identified the driver involved as Irene Rodriguez, a 52-year-old woman from Hilmar. Authorities reported that she was not injured and remained at the scene following the incident.
