Man Injured After Being Struck by Vehicle on West Harris Street in Eureka

Eureka, CA – April 15 – A man was hospitalized Wednesday morning after being hit by a vehicle while crossing a street in Eureka, according to the Eureka Police Department. Authorities reported that the incident occurred at approximately 11:30 a.m. on West Harris Street near Ocean Avenue. Preliminary findings indicate that the pedestrian, described as a man in his 40s, was attempting to cross the street when he was struck by a gray Nissan Frontier. The circumstances leading up to the collision have not yet been determined. Emergency responders arrived at the scene and found the man unresponsive. Paramedics transported him by ambulance to a nearby hospital for treatment. Authorities later reported that his injuries were considered minor.
