Bakersfield, CA, July 6, 2025 – A deadly two-vehicle collision on Sunday evening, July 6, resulted in the death of a 60-year-old Garden Grove woman and injuries to three others on Highway 65 in Bakersfield. According to the California Highway Patrol and the Kern County Coroner’s Office, the crash happened at approximately 7:23 p.m. just north of Minneola Avenue. Authorities identified the deceased as Nga Ngoc Nho, who was a passenger in a 2013 Toyota Sienna . Reports indicate that the Toyota Sienna collided with a 2005 Ford F-350 pulling a two-axle trailer, causing the Toyota to overturn. During the crash, Nho was ejected from the vehicle and was tragically pronounced dead at the scene. Three additional occupants in the Toyota, including the driver and two other passengers, sustained injuries in the crash. They were transported to nearby hospitals for treatment. Their conditions were not immediately available.

A tragic two-vehicle crash occurred Sunday night, July 6, 2025, on southbound Highway 65 just north of Minneola Avenue in Bakersfield, California. According to the California Highway Patrol, a 55-year-old man driving a 2013 Toyota Sienna attempted to pass a Ford F‑350 pulling a trailer when the Sienna veered into oncoming northbound traffic. The Sienna collided with the Ford before overturning, causing a passenger to be ejected from the vehicle. The passenger, later identified by the Kern County Coroner’s Office as 60-year-old Nga Ngoc Nho of Garden Grove, was pronounced dead at the scene. The Toyota driver and two other passengers were hospitalized with moderate to major injuries. The Ford occupants remained uninjured. CH investigators say alcohol and drugs do not appear to have been factors. The collision shut down both directions of Highway 65 for approximately four hours
