Two Arrested for DUI After Crash Involving Off‑Duty Officer on 405 Freeway in Culver City

A crash involving an off-duty Los Angeles Police Department officer occurred early Saturday morning, July 12, 2025, around 3:15 a.m. on southbound Interstate 405 near Howard Hughes Parkway in Culver City. According to California Highway Patrol surveillance footage, the officer had pulled over for a separate incident when an SUV struck the patrol vehicle, trapping the officer inside.
