One Killed in Fiery Multi-Vehicle Crash on SR-91 Near SR-241 in Anaheim
Anaheim, CA – March 21 – One person was killed early Saturday morning in a fiery multi-vehicle collision on State Route 91 near State Route 241, according to the California Highway Patrol. Authorities reported that the crash occurred at approximately 5:21 a.m. on the eastbound side of State Route 91 just west of State Route 241. Preliminary information indicates that the collision involved multiple vehicles, including a white work truck, a box truck, and at least one additional vehicle. Following the impact, one of the vehicles caught fire and became fully engulfed in flames, blocking several FasTrak and mainline lanes. Officials also reported that at least one propane tank exploded during the incident, while other tanks remained at risk of detonating, creating a hazardous situation for emergency crews. Emergency responders, including firefighters and CHP officers, arrived at the scene and worked to extinguish the fire, contain the hazardous materials, and secure the area.
