Pedestrian Killed on Harbor and Santa Monica Freeways Connector in Downtown Los Angeles
Los Angeles, CA – January 16 – A pedestrian was found dead early Friday morning following a collision at a major downtown Los Angeles freeway connector, according to the California Highway Patrol.CHP officers were dispatched at approximately 2:57 a.m. to the northbound Harbor (110) Freeway connector leading to the westbound Santa Monica (10) Freeway after reports of a person down in the roadway. Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics responded and pronounced the pedestrian dead at the scene. Authorities have not released the victim’s identity, age, or gender. During the investigation, CHP issued a SigAlert that shut down two lanes on both the 110 and 10 freeways while officers examined the scene and awaited the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner.
