Pedestrian Seriously Injured After Being Struck on 215 Freeway Near Mill Street in San Bernardino
San Bernardino, CA – December 20 – A man suffered major injuries Saturday afternoon after being struck by a vehicle while standing outside his car along the 215 Freeway in San Bernardino, according to the California Highway Patrol. The incident occurred around 12:23 p.m. on the northbound side of the freeway near the Mill Street exit. CHP officials said the man had pulled a black Honda Civic onto the right shoulder after the vehicle ran out of gas and was standing outside when the crash happened. A short time later, a silver Cadillac CTS traveling northbound reportedly lost control, drifted onto the shoulder, and struck both the parked Honda and the man standing beside it. Responding officers and San Bernardino County Fire crews found the victim lying in the slow lane of traffic.
