Riverside Co., CA – Semi-Truck Driver Airlifted After Multi-Vehicle Crash on I-10
Riverside Co., CA (January 22, 2025) – A multi-vehicle collision involving a semi-truck and two passenger vehicles occurred early Wednesday morning near Cactus City, resulting in one driver being airlifted to a hospital.
The crash was reported at approximately 1:30 a.m. on the eastbound I-10 Freeway near Frontage Road, according to the California Highway Patrol. The semi-truck veered off the roadway, landing in a ditch, while one of the involved cars overturned along the right shoulder. Debris from the crash blocked the slow lane, and fuel and oil spilled into the No. 2 lane, creating a hazardous situation for other drivers.
Firefighters and paramedics responded swiftly to the scene. The driver of the semi-truck was airlifted from Chiriaco Summit to a nearby hospital for treatment, though the nature and severity of their injuries were not disclosed. The drivers of the other vehicles involved did not report any injuries. The incident is under investigation.
