San Bernardino, June 26, 2025, CA– A 40-year-old father of six, Michael Siganoff, was killed in a tragic motorcycle accident caused by a suspected impaired driver in San Bernardino on the evening of June 26, 2025. The fatal crash occurred at approximately 8:28 p.m. at the intersection of 5th Street and North Sierra Way. According to the San Bernardino Police Department, a white sedan ran a red light and struck Siganoff’s motorcycle, throwing him from the bike. First responders arrived to find Siganoff down at the scene; he was sadly pronounced dead. A child passenger in the sedan was ejected during the crash and transported to a local hospital with injuries. Authorities later confirmed that the child had not been properly restrained at the time of the collision. The driver of the white sedan, identified as 42-year-old Paulo Cesar Mendez, was arrested at the scene. Police say he was under the influence of narcotics. He has been booked on multiple charges, including suspicion of DUI, vehicular manslaughter, and child abuse. The incident has sparked outrage within the community, especially after Mendez was released on bail.
