Watsonville, CA, July 16, 2025– A San Jose woman was killed, and a man was injured in a solo motorcycle crash Wednesday evening near Watsonville, according to the California Highway Patrol. The fatal accident happened around 7:15 p.m. near the interchange of Highway 1 and Highway 129.Authorities said a 59-year-old San Jose man was riding a Harley-Davidson motorcycle with a 65-year-old female passenger, also from San Jose. For unknown reasons, the rider veered off the northbound side of Highway 1, causing the motorcycle to crash and eject both occupants. The woman suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. The male rider sustained injuries, but further details about his condition were not immediately available.
