Long Beach, CA – August 30, 2025 – A male scooter rider lost his life in a collision with a vehicle early Saturday morning in Long Beach, according to local police. Authorities reported that the crash occurred at about 3:20 a.m. at the intersection of East 7th Street and Federation Drive, near Recreation Park. Preliminary findings indicated the man was riding his scooter southbound on Seventh Street, outside a marked crosswalk, when he was struck by an eastbound 2016 Hyundai Accent driven by a 28-year-old Laguna Beach resident.
