Two People Injured in Traffic Accident on SR-99 in Elk Grove
Sacramento, CA – Two individuals were hospitalized following a multi-vehicle collision that occurred Thursday afternoon on State Route 99 in Elk Grove, according to the California Highway Patrol.The crash was reported at approximately 3:08 p.m. on the northbound side of SR-99 near the Sheldon Road off-ramp. Emergency personnel arrived swiftly at the scene after receiving reports of the incident.Initial reports indicate that about three vehicles were involved in the crash, including a white Nissan Altima and a commercial truck with a trailer. Debris from the collision was scattered across the roadway, prompting authorities to temporarily manage traffic in the affected lanes.Two people sustained injuries in the crash. One of the individuals was transported to Methodist Hospital of Sacramento for treatment of a hand injury, while the second patient was taken to the same facility with minor injuries.
