Woman Injured After Accidental Shooting Inside Vehicle in Adams-Normandie

Adams-Normandie, Los Angeles, CA – August 3, 2025, A woman was injured Saturday night after accidentally shooting herself while inside a vehicle near 1951 W 22nd Street in the Adams-Normandie neighborhood, authorities said.
The incident occurred at approximately 8:45 p.m. The woman reportedly discharged a firearm, striking herself in the leg. According to scanner traffic, a man was seen taking the gun from the woman, possibly to prevent further harm. However, officers with the Los Angeles Police Department were later seen securing the firearm in an evidence bag at the scene. Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics transported the injured woman to a nearby hospital, with LAPD units accompanying the ambulance as part of the investigation.
