Fullerton, CA – May 29, 2025 – A woman was shot early Thursday morning near a park in Fullerton and was later transported to the hospital in critical condition, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, Norwalk Station. The shooting was first reported at approximately 12:30 a.m. at 5401 La Mirada Avenue. When deputies arrived on the scene, they encountered a group of individuals at the nearby park who informed them that a female victim had been shot and was already en route to the hospital in a private vehicle. As the male driver was transporting the victim, he pulled over near Brea Boulevard and Rolling Hills Drive, prompting emergency services to respond to that location. Fullerton Fire Department personnel arrived and provided immediate medical aid before transporting the woman to UCI Medical Center. The victim sustained at least one gunshot wound to the abdomen. Her current condition remains unknown. The man driving the woman is being detained by authorities as part of the ongoing investigation. As of now, no suspects have been arrested in connection with the shooting.
