2 Hurt in Accident on Blanco and Davis Roads in Salinas
Salinas, CA, May 1, 2025 – Two people were hospitalized following a collision involving a Monterey County Sheriff’s Office patrol vehicle and a civilian car in Salinas on Wednesday morning, May 21. The crash occurred around 10:00 a.m. at the intersection of Blanco and Davis Roads, according to the California Highway Patrol. Initial reports indicate that the sheriff’s patrol car, with its emergency lights activated, was traveling southbound on Blanco Road when it collided with an Audi that was heading east on Davis Road. The impact of the crash forced the Audi into a nearby pole. Emergency personnel responded to the scene and transported the Audi’s driver, a 55-year-old woman from Seaside, to the hospital for treatment. Her condition was not immediately disclosed. One of the deputies involved in the crash was also taken to the hospital for evaluation and treatment of injuries sustained in the incident.
