3 Killed in Lemoore Crash at 17th Avenue and Kansas Avenue
Lemoore, CA – Three people were killed in a tragic two-vehicle collision on Saturday night in Lemoore.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash occurred around 11:43 p.m. at the intersection of 17th and Kansas Avenues. A man driving a 2017 Toyota Camry southbound on 17th Avenue failed to yield the right of way and collided with a 2020 Peterbilt 579 that was traveling eastbound on Kansas Avenue.
The impact sent the Camry off the roadway, where it crashed into a metal pole. Two rear passengers in the Camry were pronounced dead at the scene. Another passenger was transported to a local hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
The driver of the Camry suffered moderate injuries and was also taken to the hospital for treatment. Fortunately, the driver of the Peterbilt truck was uninjured.
An investigation into the cause of the crash is ongoing.
