Bakersfield, CA – August 12, 2025 – A bicyclist was killed early Tuesday morning following a collision with a vehicle at the intersection of Mohawk Street and Tower Way, according to the Bakersfield Police Department. The crash was reported at approximately 6:19 a.m. Investigators determined the bicyclist had been traveling west on Tower Way when he failed to stop at a posted stop sign and was struck by a northbound vehicle on Mohawk Street. The victim sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities have not yet released his identity, and the incident remains under investigation.
