Driver Killed, Children Injured in High-Speed Crash on Southbound 215 Freeway North of Columbia Avenue in Riverside

On Saturday night, May 24, 2025, a tragic two-vehicle collision occurred on the southbound 215 Freeway in Riverside, California, just north of Columbia Avenue. The crash, reported at approximately 9:33 p.m., involved a red Honda Accord and a gray Chevrolet Tahoe. The impact caused the Tahoe to overturn, and one person was trapped inside the Tahoe. Witnesses reported that multiple children, including an infant, were inside the Tahoe at the time of the crash.

Emergency personnel responded promptly to the scene. The driver of the Honda Accord, identified as 26-year-old Juan Carlos Medina Paniagua of San Bernardino, was transported to Riverside Community Hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
