Encinitas Crime Log: Drowning, Drug Bust, Murder-Suicide, and Pursuit Highlight Busy Week
Encinitas, CA – April 2 – A range of serious incidents including a drowning, major drug seizure, murder-suicide case, and a stolen vehicle pursuit, were among the cases highlighted in this week’s San Diego County crime log. Authorities reported that federal officers intercepted a significant narcotics shipment at the San Ysidro Port of Entry, seizing more than 20 pounds of fentanyl along with approximately three pounds of heroin hidden inside a vehicle, according to U.S. Customs and Border Protection. In another case, a suspicious death in North County has led to a homicide investigation. Officials said an autopsy revealed the victim suffered a brain bleed that may have been caused by trauma to the head.
