Fresno County, CA, July 26, 2025 – A suspected DUI crash claimed the life of 24‑year‑old Kevin Juarez on Saturday night in Fresno County, according to the California Highway Patrol. The deadly incident occurred around 10 p.m. on Mt. Whitney Avenue, just west of Cedar Street. Investigators say Juan Carlos Mendoza, 24, was driving a Chevrolet Tahoe westbound with three passengers when, for unknown reasons, the SUV drifted off the roadway into a walnut orchard. The vehicle struck several trees before overturning. Juarez and another passenger, both seated in the rear and not wearing seatbelts, were ejected and critically injured.
