Long Beach, CA, March 30, 2025 – A man has died nearly a month after being struck by a car in Long Beach, according to the Long Beach Police Department. The accident happened on the afternoon of March 30 at the intersection of Cedar Avenue and Anaheim Street. Authorities said 55-year-old Marcos Duarte-Gonzalez was walking in a crosswalk when he was struck by a Chevrolet sedan. He was taken to a local hospital, where he died from his injuries on April 29. The driver remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators.
