Fresno County, CA., July 1, 2025 – 86-year-old Mary Bonds of Fresno was killed in a head-on collision Monday afternoon, July 1, 2025, in Fresno County, according to the Fresno County Coroner’s Office. The fatal crash occurred at approximately 12:35 p.m. on Butler Avenue west of Fowler Avenue. According to the California Highway Patrol, Bonds was driving a Nissan Versa eastbound on Butler Avenue when she veered into the westbound lane for unknown reasons and collided head-on with a Chevrolet Silverado. Mary Bonds was pronounced dead at the scene. No further details about other injuries or the condition of the other driver have been released. The incident remains under investigation.
