Riverside County, CA. – A suspected DUI crash resulted in one fatality on the evening of January 4, just before 6:30 p.m. According to the Riverside Police Department, a 75-year-old Riverside woman was driving a 2005 Jeep Liberty east on Collett Avenue. As she slowed to turn onto Stonewall Drive, her vehicle was rear-ended by a Toyota Tundra. The impact caused the Jeep to collide head-on with an oncoming red 2014 Toyota C-HR. The woman driving the Jeep was taken to Riverside Community Hospital, where she was pronounced deceased. The conditions of the other two drivers, including a 70-year-old man driving the Toyota C-HR, remain unclear. The 38-year-old driver of the Toyota Tundra, a man from Norco, was arrested on suspicion of DUI and booked into the Robert Presley Detention Center. The investigation into the crash is ongoing.
