Rialto, CA– March 2 – A pedestrian was killed early Monday morning after being struck by a vehicle at an intersection in Rialto, authorities reported. At approximately 12:02 a.m., officers with the Rialto Police Department and crews from the Rialto Fire Department responded to reports of a vehicle-versus-pedestrian collision at East Foothill Boulevard and North Eucalyptus Avenue. When officers arrived, they found an adult male lying in the intersection and immediately began CPR. Firefighters arrived shortly afterward and pronounced the man deceased at the scene. Authorities evaluated the driver involved for possible driving under the influence. Officials said the driver appeared to pass the evaluation and was not arrested at the scene.
