Pedestrian Killed in Crash at Pacific Place and West Wardlow Road in Long Beach
Long Beach, CA – April 5 – A pedestrian was killed Sunday evening after being struck by a vehicle in Long Beach, according to the Long Beach Police Department. Authorities reported that the collision occurred just before 7:55 p.m. at the intersection of Pacific Place and West Wardlow Road. Preliminary information indicates that a 2025 Subaru Crosstrek traveling southbound on Pacific Place struck a pedestrian who was walking in the roadway outside of a marked crosswalk. Emergency responders arrived at the scene and pronounced the pedestrian dead from injuries sustained in the crash. The victim’s identity has not been released. Officials stated that the driver remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators. Authorities also reported that speed, impairment, and distracted driving were not believed to be factors in the incident.
