Southern California, July 17, 2025 – A high-speed pursuit that began in the San Fernando Valley and stretched across the Southland ended dramatically overnight when a suspect crashed a Chevy pickup truck into the front yard of a home in Orange County. The chase involved officers from both the California Highway Patrol (CHP) and the LAPD. After leading authorities on a lengthy pursuit through multiple counties, the driver ultimately lost control and plowed into the front yard of a residence. Upon crashing, the suspect attempted to flee by running into the backyard, but officers quickly responded and deployed less-lethal force to bring the suspect into custody. The suspect was evaluated at the scene by fire department personnel and then transported to a hospital for further medical assessment. The extent of any injuries is currently unknown.
