Cabazon, CA – March 15 – Authorities have identified the man who died in a head-on collision Sunday night at an intersection in Cabazon, according to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department Coroner’s Bureau. Officials reported that the crash occurred at approximately 9 p.m. near Morongo Trail and Seminole Drive, close to the Interstate 10. The victim was identified as 46-year-old Shaundeen Boniface. Preliminary information indicates that two vehicles were involved in the collision, though investigators have not yet determined what caused the crash. According to the California Highway Patrol, Boniface sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. Emergency responders also transported at least one other individual to Desert Regional Medical Center for treatment of injuries. The extent of those injuries has not been disclosed.
