Two Injured in Crash on I-5 near SR 14 in Newhall

Newhall, CA – August 31, 2025 – Two people were injured Sunday morning in a crash involving an SUV, trailer, and another vehicle on Interstate 5 just north of State Route 14, according to the California Highway Patrol. The accident was reported around 8:10 a.m. when a white SUV pulling a trailer with Jet Skis stopped in the gore point. The driver exited to check the trailer, but a northbound Mazda swerved into the gore point and slammed into the SUV and trailer. The impact caused the trailer to overturn, trapping the SUV driver beneath it. Emergency crews responded and transported the injured parties for treatment.
