The collision occurred around 3:17 a.m. when a 49-year-old woman from Fresno was driving a red Jeep Cherokee southbound on Highway 145. For unknown reasons, she crossed over the centerline into the path of a white Subaru Crosstrek heading north, driven by a 25-year-old man from North Fork. The two vehicles collided head-on, resulting in fatal injuries to both drivers. Emergency responders arrived and pronounced both individuals dead at the scene. No other passengers were reported in either vehicle.
