North Hills, CA – On April 20, 2025 – A devastating motorcycle accident claimed the life of 47-year-old Josue Calderon Alcala on Wednesday, April 16, at the intersection of East Orange Avenue and Max Avenue, according to local authorities. The fatal crash occurred when Alcala, riding a blue 2006 Kawasaki ZX-6R eastbound on East Orange Avenue, collided with the passenger side of a black 2023 Audi Q3. The Audi, driven by a 34-year-old Chula Vista woman, was turning left from westbound East Orange Avenue onto Max Avenue . Alcala was tragically pronounced deceased at the scene. The San Diego County Medical Examiner’s Office later identified him as a resident of Chula Vista. The Audi’s driver and her 1-year-old passenger sustained minor injuries and received treatment following the crash.
