Vacaville, CA – April 22, Tuesday Morning – One person was killed in a deadly collision involving a big rig on Interstate 80 in Vacaville, according to the California Highway Patrol. The incident occurred Tuesday morning on the eastbound side of I-80. Authorities reported that a Mazda was stopped and blocking traffic lanes when it was rear-ended by an 18-wheeler. The driver of the Mazda, a 58-year-old man from Stockton, died as a result of the crash. The driver of the big rig, a 59-year-old man from Pacifica, remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation . The cause of the accident remains under investigation.
