3-Year-Old Child Injured After Being Struck by Truck at Home in Fresno
Fresno, CA – January 29 – A young child was seriously injured Thursday afternoon after being struck by a truck while it was backing up at a residence in southwest Fresno, authorities said. The incident occurred in the backyard of a home near Stanislaus and Plumas streets. According to Fresno police, a construction worker was reversing a construction truck when it struck a 3-year-old child. Emergency crews responded and evaluated the child at the scene before transporting the victim to Community Regional Medical Center. Police said the child suffered head injuries and a broken arm. The child was later transferred to Valley Children’s Hospital for further treatment.
