95-Year-Old Woman Killed in Three-Vehicle Crash After Red-Light Collision in Irvine
Irvine, CA – May 28 — A 95-year-old woman died following a three-vehicle crash in Irvine on Wednesday morning, according to police. The collision occurred at approximately 9:12 a.m. near the intersection of Irvine Center Drive and Valley Oak. Preliminary findings indicate the woman was driving a Toyota RAV4 westbound on Irvine Center Drive when she entered the intersection against a red traffic signal. Investigators said the Toyota collided with a Dodge Ram pickup truck and a Tesla Model 3 that were traveling northbound on Valley Oak with a green light. Emergency responders arrived at the scene and provided aid to those involved. The 95-year-old driver suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead following the crash.
