South Los Angeles, CA – August 18, 2025 – A bicyclist lost his life early Monday morning in a hit-and-run crash at the intersection of South San Pedro Street and East 95th Street, according to the Los Angeles Police Department. The accident occurred around 1:23 a.m. when officers responded to reports of a collision. At the scene, they discovered a man who had been struck while collecting bottles. Investigators determined that a vehicle traveling southbound on San Pedro Street hit the bicyclist and then fled without rendering aid. The victim died from his injuries at the scene. The suspect vehicle remains at large.
