Cecilia Janeth Sierra Killed in Hit-and-Run Pedestrian Crash on South Main Street in Santa Ana
Santa Ana, CA – December 19 – A 31-year-old woman was killed early Friday morning in a hit-and-run pedestrian collision on South Main Street, according to the Santa Ana Police Department. The crash was reported around 5:35 a.m. in the 3000 block of S. Main Street, between Alton Avenue and East Dyer Road. Police and Orange County Fire Authority crews arrived to find a pedestrian unresponsive in the roadway. She was pronounced dead at the scene. Investigators said the woman was walking east along Main Street when she was struck by a northbound vehicle. While she was on the ground, a second northbound vehicle also hit her and then fled the area. The first driver stopped and cooperated with the authorities. The second driver has not yet been located. The victim was later identified as Cecilia Janeth Sierra of Costa Mesa.
