San Diego, CA – May 15  — Authorities have identified the motorcyclist who died following a traffic collision on Friday afternoon in San Diego’s El Cerrito neighbourhood as 28-year-old Daniel Thomas Canniff of La Mesa, according to the San Diego County Medical Examiner’s Office. The fatal crash occurred shortly before 1 p.m. at the intersection of El Cajon Boulevard and 56th Street. According to the San Diego Police Department, a 22-year-old woman was driving a Toyota sedan westbound on El Cajon Boulevard when she attempted to make a left turn onto 56th Street. At the same time, Canniff was travelling eastbound on El Cajon Boulevard on a motorcycle when he collided with the front passenger side of the Toyota.
