Driver Arrested After Allegedly Slashing Tires During Road Rage Incident in Alameda
Alameda, CA – May 6 — A driver was arrested following a road rage confrontation in Alameda that allegedly escalated into vandalism involving a knife, according to the Alameda Police Department. The incident began Tuesday near the intersection of Broadway and Otis Drive. Authorities said the circumstances that sparked the dispute between the two drivers remain unclear. Police reported that the confrontation intensified when one driver allegedly made threats while the other driver pulled out a knife and slashed the tires of the other vehicle. Following the incident, the suspect reportedly fled the area by vehicle. Officers later located the individual in the 1600 block of Hibbard Street and took the suspect into custody without further incident.
