Edmund Davis Killed in Wrong-Way Crash on Harbor (110) Freeway Near Slauson Avenue
Los Angeles, CA – July 6 — A wrong-way collision on the Harbour (110) Freeway in Los Angeles claimed one life and left another person injured Sunday morning, according to the California Highway Patrol. The fatal crash occurred at approximately 10:11 a.m. on the southbound Harbour (110) Freeway between Slauson Avenue and Vernon Avenue. According to CHP dispatch logs, a grey Honda Civic was travelling northbound in the southbound lanes when it collided head-on with a grey Nissan Murano. The impact blocked multiple freeway lanes and prompted an immediate emergency response. Authorities identified the deceased as Edmund Davis, 76, who suffered fatal injuries in the collision and was pronounced dead at the scene. A second person sustained injuries and was transported to a local hospital for treatment. Officials have not released the individual’s condition.
